rob
can you point out anything you think we should concerned about?

We dont condone or allow links to warez and piracy services.
thm
personally i would be concerned that its public the ripping/burning stuff specially when copy protection bypassing is talked about so openly.

i'm in a forum which does help similar ways, but people are checked out and reffed before being allowed access to any of that stuff.

Just better to be safe than sorry.............. too many forums going down the pan recently, need to look after members security too smile.gif
rob
everything discussed here regarding copying/burning is also discussed openly on several very large public forums (afterdawn?)

In respect to members security, it is up to you whether or not you include personal contact information in your profile and/or posts. We dont pass on information we have on members to anyone else.
thm
no worries

just different to what i'm acustomed too i guess lol

rob
cool

well anyway, welcome to the site! cheers.gif

Do I detect a bit of scare mongering thm?

In the UK, as in most other countries it is perfectly legal to back up any disc, movie or music, so long as you hold the original.

It is my belief that’s what most of our posts in the help sections are about.

We might be a tad suspicious as to the way we word them but I’m sure it’s not our intention to mislead people.

As this is a sort of caring/sharing type of community, you have already demonstrated that you care, what about sharing with us some of your trading forums ........... Thanking you in advance

QFT
Even here in Amerika we can make legal backups of movies we own, and I often do on stuff that gets played a lot. Keep the original on the shelf and use the backup.

Or (as is mostly my case), convert old VHS (taped off of TV) and re-author onto DVD-R
