I have seen a Blue-Ray DVD and a HD-DVD in the store yesterday of the same movie (obviously one copy of it was HD-DVD the other copy of the same movie was Blue-Ray) so my question for someone, what's the difference?

HD is High Definition (going by the letters)....can my DVD play these?

the blu-ray disc u have to buy a blu-ray disc dvd player witch cost round about £1,000 witch is a lot of money for a dvd play but HD-DVD i think all dvd players can play them

but if u realy want to watch a blu-ray dvd just w8 till ps3 comes out for about £300
because ps3 can play blu-ray discs (BLU-RAY Disc can hold up to 50G worth of stuff and normal did is 4.7G thats like nerly 10X lol

blu-ray will last about as long as beta did with vcrs. not very long

Your dvd player should play it as long as its not one of the old dvd players......

If you want to buy Blu-ray dvd player. It is actually cheaper to buy a PS3. But to notice blu-ray quality you will need a HD-TV/ Hd cables.
Same with HD dvds you will need a HDTV/HD compatable dvd player & the HD cables.

There is a huge difference in quality with blu-ray been watching them on my PS3.
