This month, this very week actually, marks the 30th anniversary of the original release of Queen's epic song, and something that over the years may have become a millstone for them, Bohemian Rhapsody.
Hailed as an innovative single in its day, Bohemain Rhapsody was indeed an epic, and one of the longest singles to chart up until that time.
I imagine that many posters here have some memories connected with Bohemian Rhapsody, if not the original release it may ignite a memory of something as the song has been a huge worldwide hit.
Personally I'd been aware of Queen since their first single, Keep Yourself Alive, two years previously, but with 1974s album Sheer Heart Attack and its big hit single Killer Queen, and then of course Bohemian Rhapsody and the album A Night At The Opera, Queen became huge and the stage was set for all those stadium gigs throughout the 1980s.
It was a sad day when frontman Mercury died of aids in 1991, he had been a fantastic showman, and was surely irreplaceable. But what do we think of Queen's latest incarnation with Paul Rogers? A success or not? Discuss.
