ok i find myself rejecting a lot of covers just now so can all members when uploading covers please check the following guidlines

1 : Make sure your cover is properly cropped and straight.

2 : Try and keep your covers @ 300dpi with the following sizes
DVD cover - 3240 x 2175 pixels
DVD & CD labels - 1500 x 1500 pixels

the sizes are not essential but will help with approval especially if you are replacing and existing cover

3 : Please do a search before uploading. If you want to replace a cover with a better quality one please write REPLACEMENT in the title this can be edited out when being approved by the mod or admin.

4: For DVD covers please make sure you put the correct title, region code etc. this info can be below. For MUSIC cover please name them as ARTIST - TITLE or just the title for compilations.

Thanks to everyone for taking the time to upload your covers. The more QUALITY covers we get the better and more popular the site becomes.

Mark language if non-english.
Everything other than the artist/title should be in CAPS
Year is appreciated (especially for movies)

WS=widescreen
FS=fullscreen
SE=special edition
LE=limited edition
CE=collectors edition

R1 -> USA, Canada
R2 -> Japan, Europe, South Africa, Middle East, Greenland
R3 -> S.Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Parts of South East Asia
R4 -> Australia, New Zealand, Latin America (including Mexico)
R5 -> Eastern Europe, Russia, India, Africa
R6 -> China


IF YOUR COVER DOES NOT MEET THESE SIMPLE RULES THERE IS A GOOD CHANCE IT WILL NOT BE APPROVED.

Thanks Shaka...after one of my covers was posted I realized that I had cropped off one of the spines and didn't know how to correct it...now I do...thanks.

Spelling error...my original posting for Toni Basil was mispelled [Toni Basi]...but the replacement back cover was posted with the correct spelling...now they're in two different places...anyway we can harmonise these ?

Thanks for the info ... People should DEFINITELY check for dupes when uploading covers .. that is priority for me.. Hope this site stays around for a long while.. It would make it worthwhile with the amount of covers I uploaded and will be ...

Thanks for the info shaka,these guidelines should help,as every so often i upload a custom dvd cover,but res is at 150dpi and size is 705x705.if these are not good enough i can always change these sizes before uploading,so any answers to these queries will be appreciated.

thats fine mate as long as the quality is there but if a better 300dpi comes along your cover will be replaced with that one

I have a question.
Is there a speed limt for uploading covers on the server - because i'm sitting on a 10/10 mbit line and I can only upload with about 256 Kb/sec, is that right, or is it me there have problem with the server on freecovers.net

Hallo !! Where is the Moderator !! Is now about 96 hours since i upload about 50 covers - nothing hapening

BTW I have upload 13 covers of REJSEHOLDET in dansih but when I do a search noting is find ???? What is Wrong !!!!

Great graphics Innocense...I wish I could do that stuff. Shaka is overworked and underpaid...and very protective of cover scrutinizing...I don't envy his job.
